Welcome! There are so many stories to tell that it is very hard to find an actual starting point for this site. It will always be somewhat of a “work in progress”. I live in the Mississippi Delta region and we have such a rich history. My primary interest lies in preserving the history of family cemeteries in the area. Most of which are abandoned and are being slowly reclaimed by their prospective landscapes. If we do not try and save these historic monuments, I am afraid they may be lost forever. The Mighty Mississippi River and it’s wrath of flooding over the centuries is also of great interest to me. I will start with what I know and let it grow from there. If you have any stories or pictures (especially of early flooding) you would like to share with this site please email me.Thank you and enjoy!
